lagoona records

In the early 1990s, when Robert Forster came back to Australia to live in Brisbane after marrying in Germany after the demise of the GoBetweens, we got together to form Lagoona Records to locally launch his solo career. Lagoona released 1993's Calling from a Country Phone and then we went to Melbourne in '94 to record Rob's covers album I Had a New York Girlfriend. Although the Girlfriend... CD was actually absorbed and released by Shock in Australia, it was still in essence a Lagoona production. For a few years we had a lot of fun.
