I am stoked to be just about to return to Cambodia for the second time in ten months, this time to attend the Kampot Writers & Readers Festival, to appear at numerous events, most notably presenting a screening of Buried Country as part of a film program that puts it in extremely flattering company. 2016 will go down as my year of Buried Country and Cambodia, of getting the BC stageshow on the road and of forging a link to Australia's neighbouring South-East Asia that I hope will be just the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship. Like many (Westerners) who venture to this part of the world, it's very easy to fall in love with it, and I am doing that - and I hope the feeling doesn't go unrequited! |
