THE PAINTED LADIES Play Selections from THE LONER is a sort of tribute record to Vic Simms and the legendary album he cut live in Bathurst Jail in 1973, The Loner. In the wake of the Sandman Records re-release of The Loner itself, this project was instigated by Brisbane musician (and Halfway member) Luke Peacock, produced by Rusty Hopkinson, backed and released by the wonderful folks at Brisbane's Plus One Records (home of Halfway - did I mention I'm a huge fan of theirs?), and includes a modest set of liner notes I was flattered to be asked to contribute.
