PAINTED LADIES HIT THE BOARDS

Over the weekend of September 19/20, the Vic Simms/Loner tribute The Painted Ladies made its premiere as a full-scale stageshow as part of the Brisbane Festival, at the Judith Wright Centre in Fortitude Valley, with yours truly acting as interlocutor, or in other words, MC.    

I always look forward to going back to Brisbane, where I spent my teens and still have family and friends, and I revelled in doing my bit for Luke Peacock's terrific project, which we're all confident now will develop into a roadshow to go round the country. It was just wonderful to spend the week in Brisbane with the whole mob up there, Luke, Leanne deSouza, the Medics, Roger Knox, everybody else too numerous to mention, and it was great to put on what seemed everyone some great shows.
